Some months ago, during one of those nights when I couldn't fall to sleep, I was channel surfing and came across "The Jack Benny Program" on Antenna TV. Now, I've always known that Jack Benny was a star of vaudeville, radio and television well before my time. I can recall, as a young kid, what a big news event it was when Jack died back in 1974. As I began watching the show, I couldn't believe just how funny it was, and I soon found myself staying up late each night just to watch it. For Christmas, my wife gave me a set of DVDs with several of the episodes from the series that I can enjoy without having to stay up late.
