Agent Jared Francom, from the Ogden P.D. died from gunshot wounds received while serving a drug related search warrant during the evening of 04 January 2012. 5 other officers were wounded during the shootout. It's been a very rough 24 hours for me. Knowing many involved it's been like getting kicked in the stomach. I was briefly acquainted with Jared, and know Kacey Burrell. Having worked at Ogden Regional Medical Center, I came in close contact with many Law Enforcement Officers. I know Greg Whinham, and Darrin Parke as well. My friend grew up practically through the backyard where the shooting occurred. Thank you for all you do in your Law Enforcement Service. It is very much appreciated.
